Made in Paracho, Mexico, a small village in the state of Michoacan established by Jesuits several centuries ago as a musical instrument making center. This instrument has all solid wood construction, a wonderful thin, even french polish of excellent transparency, and a very easy action, equally appropriate for either classical or flamenco. This guitar is an excellent ³switch-hitter,² with the professionally installed one piece clear golpeador, it would serve the demands of either classical or flamenco players. It has a well balanced, brilliant quality, slightly edgy, with focused basses, and very uniform trebles. Projection is very good, suitable for any size concert hall, and the visual aesthetics are very traditional and ³Spanish.² Save for the label, one would be hard pressed to identify this guitar as Mexican made, and the sound is worthy of many fine Spanish instruments, particularly reminiscent of the work of Vicente Perez Camacho, who was a student of Modesto Borreguero.
